Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 28, 2026
This policy explains what happens to information when you use the Budget Meal Planner & Grocery Android app (“the app”) and this website. The app is published by JoZarqa (“we”, “us”).
1. What we do not collect
We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number, address, payments or precise location. We do not run our own servers for the app, so we do not receive your preferences or plans. The app does not use analytics or crash-reporting services.
2. What is stored on your device
To work, the app saves the following on your phone only:
- your weekly budget, number of people, diet, allergies, kitchen appliances and meal priorities;
- your current week of dinners and the items you have ticked on the grocery list;
- your favorite recipes and your past weeks.
Diet and allergy choices can be sensitive, so we repeat: they are kept on your device and are not sent to us or to advertisers by the app. This information is not used to choose ads. It stays until you delete it (see Delete your data).
3. Ads and Google AdMob
The app is free and supported by ads from Google AdMob. When ads are shown, Google, as an independent provider, may collect and use:
- your device’s advertising ID, IP address, device and operating-system details, and approximate location derived from the IP address;
- how you interact with ads, and technical information needed to deliver and measure them and to prevent fraud.
Google handles this information under its own policies: Google Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services. We do not receive this data and do not sell your personal information.
4. Your consent and choices
- Consent form. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and other places where it is required, the app shows a consent message (Google’s User Messaging Platform) before ads are requested. If you decline, ads are not requested until you agree.
- Change your mind. Where a consent form applies, a “Privacy & ad choices” option appears in the app’s preferences screen so you can review or withdraw consent.
- Device controls. On Android you can turn off ad personalization and reset or delete your advertising ID in Settings → Google → All services → Ads.
5. Who we share information with
| Recipient | Why | What |
|---|---|---|
| Google (AdMob) | Showing and measuring ads | Advertising ID, IP address, device details, ad interactions (collected by Google directly) |
| Nobody else | — | We have no other processors, and your plans never leave your device. |
Google may process data in countries other than your own. Where you are in the EEA or the UK, Google relies on lawful transfer mechanisms described in its policies.
6. Your rights
Because we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to export or correct. You can delete everything the app stores on your device at any time with the “Delete all my data” button in the app’s preferences. For data Google holds about you, use Google My Ad Center and your Google Account controls. Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or California law) you may have rights to access, delete or object to processing; you can write to us at idresalalaree@gmail.com and we will answer within 30 days, and explain which of your requests Google, not us, can action. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
7. Children
The app is a general-audience meal planner and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will help you remove it.
8. Security
Your plans stay on your device and are protected by your phone’s own security. Pages on this website are served over HTTPS and we do not use cookies or tracking scripts on it.
9. Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date above. If a change is significant we will say so in the app’s release notes.
