Delete your data

Last updated: October 28, 2026

Good to know: Budget Meal Planner & Grocery has no accounts and no server. The information the app saves is on your phone, and we do not hold a copy. Deleting it on your phone deletes all of it.

What the app stores

Option 1: delete it inside the app (fastest)

  1. Open Budget Meal Planner & Grocery and tap the sliders icon (Preferences) at the top right of This week.
  2. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete all my data.
  3. Confirm with Delete everything.

This erases your preferences, current plan, shopping ticks, favorites and past weeks from your phone straight away, and the app returns to its first-run setup. It cannot be undone.

Option 2: clear the app’s data in Android settings

  1. Open your phone’s Settings and go to Apps.
  2. Choose Budget Meal Planner.
  3. Tap Storage (or Storage & cache), then Clear storage (or Clear data) and confirm.

The app opens as if freshly installed, and your preferences, plans, favorites and history are gone. Menu names vary slightly between phone makers.

Option 3: uninstall the app

Press and hold the app icon and choose Uninstall, or open the app in Google Play and tap Uninstall. Android removes the data the app saved.

Ad data held by Google

Advertising data is collected and held by Google, not by us, so it is not removed by the steps above. Your ad-consent choice is also kept by Google’s consent tool and is not erased by “Delete all my data”; you can change it from the “Privacy & ad choices” option where it appears. You can control the rest here:
